Individuals 13 and over are encouraged to be part of this powerful weekend. Though the course is geared toward individuals, some people choose to attend with a significant other, family member or co-worker. Whether attending solo or with others, each student will be regarded as a separate individual with separate needs.
People choose to attend The Weekend for several reasons. Many have lives that work well and they want to develop new tools with which to approach life and propel it “to the next level.”
Some may feel as if nothing in life seems to work. And others may be struggling with just one particular area in life that eludes them; and they are ready to have a breakthrough in that area.
This is a very common concern for people. We understand the tendency to feel anxious about learning with a room of strangers. Breakthrough Weekend is designed as a group experience to help individuals find a place of significance and belonging. Our ability to cooperate and contribute is vital to our success in life.
Breakthrough Weekend is based on the work of Alfred Adler. Alder, a renowned psychologist and physician, founded the School of Individual Psychology.
He had a life time fascination about what great force underlies our motivation, propelling
us forward through trying circumstances. He considered this motivating force the desire
we all have to fulfill our potential.
Adler believed that early life experiences generate assumptions that influence what we do
and feel in the present. Breakthrough Weekend seeks to reframe those assumptions that
block success. Attendees thereby become more effective at reaching their desired
goals…allowing them to thrive.
There are many opportunities to stay connected and refine the skills you learn during your initial weekend.
• Attend the Follow-Up. A follow-up meeting will be scheduled approximately two weeks after your Weekend. We call it the Follow Up. This discussion session offers you the opportunity to review your progress, fine-tune lessons learned, get answers to questions, and reconnect with other attendees.
• Be an Assistant. All Breakthrough graduates are encouraged to return as an Assistant during future Breakthrough Weekends. Assisting is an effective way to continue to grow and reinforce the tools you gained during your initial Weekend.
• Stay connected. Many students create and maintain strong, supportive friendships with the Breakthrough community and choose to stay in contact by phone, email, Facebook Group, and in-person.

All Weekend graduates are eligible to return as an Assistant during future Breakthrough Weekends, as often as you wish, for the rest of your life. We charge a $50 fee to help cover costs of producing The Weekend. In other words, you’ll keep growing and gaining new skills for a nominal fee.
As an Assistant you will be provided extraordinary opportunities to help students on their journey through the weekend workshops. You continue to grow and learn and improve your own overall well-being.
